Elena Sallés de Fulquet
She inherited from her family an interest in taking care of gardens. She studied Design and Horticulture at the Museum and Botanic Garden of Montevideo, Uruguay (1987). She is a member of both the Garden Club of Uruguay and the Rose Society of Uruguay. She gives lectures on topics related to her design philosophy.
From the beginning she gave priority to professional training and continuous updating, first in the region and then abroad. She took part in seminars, conferences and workshops in South America and Europe: in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, Great Britain, New Zealand, South Africa,
China and Japan.
Her professional career started off by creating spots and gardens in offices and residences, but soon after grew with larger-scale private projects in farms, ranches and hotels. Her wide experience gained in Uruguay enabled her to run private projects in Spain, Brazil and Chile. Elena Sallés lives in Montevideo wherefrom she works for both her Uruguayan and foreign clients, all year long.
